the ups and downs of life

Almost Amish

My cord for the computer recently bit the dust. I had to order a new one, which I hope will be here in two more days. I didn’t want to pay for a shipping method that was essentially the same price as the actual cord. But I’m having withdrawals and am wondering if it might have been worth it.

I have had to change the way I do so many things and it’s made me feel almost Amish! I can’t just order a pizza online. Oh no! I have to call the place if I want a pizza. Writing this blog has been hard! I don’t know how people do it from these stupid fake keys on their smartphones. (BTW please forgive if typos. Fat thumbs and itty bitty fake keys make for nonsense at times. Maybe I shouldn’t order pizza EVER!)

I just feel so technologically lost right now. Maybe Amish people
feel like this, too? It’s supposed to be simpler but I love having answers to a gazillion questions at my fingertips easily. ::Sigh:: I want my power cord. I don’t think I could make it as an Amish chick.

  1. Oh God…I know how you feel. My computer is dying, it has some type of internal disorder that casues it to freeze up. New one coming, should be here today, I hope!!

  2. I know I couldn’t make it as an Amish chick, for sure! I’ve written my blog on my smartphone a few times…yeah, not the easiest thing I’ve ever done. We’ve gotten spoiled by technology, haven’t we? And I like it!

    • I am fascinated by the Amish but there is no way I could lie their lifestyle. I guess I am spoiled in some ways. but that is ok with me. Guess what! The cord came! I have this baby plugged in! Computer is running slow so I am running diagnostics, but still….better than nothing! I am happy even though I have a headache from Hades!

      • At least you got the cord…and take something strong for that headache!

        • I have taken something for headache but no relief as of yet. I think it is allergies/sinus infection. This crazy weather! LOL One day we have 30 degree high and then today’s high is almost 70! Thanks, though. I have been so happy clicking and clacking on my keys, though.

Please leave me a message!
