the ups and downs of life

Why Nightmares?

I hate nightmares. I had one yesterday that really bothered me. I saw someone from my past in my sleep that just unnerved me. It wasn’t someone who I don’ t like. It’s someone who I wouldn’t see, though, unless something was wrong with someone who I really care(d) about. So when I woke up I had to realize I was dreaming. I was grateful that it was just a dream.

I don’t understand why we even have nightmares. They seem pretty unnecessary to me. Why do we need to be scared? I don’t like being scared! I don’t watch scary movies. I stay away from all things scary.

All in all I was grateful I woke up and realized I was just having a bad dream. Hopefully today I will have a good dream when I go to bed. It’s a little chilly this morning.  I’m about to go upstairs and snuggle under the covers and see if the bratty cats will go, too. I think they bring good dreams.
