Today is National Junk Food Day!
Can you believe it has its own day? Pretty interesting. Junk food is great. I got to wondering, though, what exactly makes a food junk food? Is it convenient food? Is it food that is bad for you? What is the criteria for junk food? I had to find out. According to http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/ the definition of junk food is the following:
1: food that is high in calories but low in nutritional content
2: something that is appealing or enjoyable but of little or no real value
Well, now we’re in business! I know what it officially is! I can figure out what my favorite kind is now. So let’s see, I love milk shakes

I wish “real” food tasted as good as junk food does! Wouldn’t it be nice if broccoli tasted like chocolate? I would definitely eat more broccoli! But maybe that is the point. Junk food tastes great but we are only supposed to have it once in a while. I need to quit eating so much of it. It’s hard, though. And I think it is especially hard if you are single because it is a whole lot easier to stop and pick up something for dinner than it is to fix a meal for one. Fixing a meal for one seems to be a lot of effort for very little results.
Anyway, what is YOUR favorite junk food?
