I read some things and am appalled. I just wish schools focused more on the written word and pushed grammar, reading and writing. I read some of the phonetic spellings and cringe. Phonics are great tools to assist in spelling but we shouldn’t rely on them to spell everything. With spell check so easily available, we should use them more! Then again, my smart phone thinks it is much more intelligent than it really is. That is why I hate blogging from my phone. But I agree with the idea that we have to continue to write in order to keep it out there. It has to be seen in order to be understood. Maybe it will encourage others.
