About
This is an examination of a woman coming to terms with life, middle age and everything else going on. She is a Christian who tries to remember that but also acts on her humanity. She is not perfect and has not had an easy life. She wants to figure things out in order to make what is left of her life better.
She lives in the South but is not your stereotypical Southern Belle. She is a combination of the characters from Steele Magnolias. She’s strong, independent, soft-hearted, opinionated, and can cry at the drop of a hat. She struggles daily and says what is on her mind. (much to the chagrin of her family and friends!) She’s sometimes funny. Sometimes smart. Sometimes she can do the dumbest things. It really depends on the day. But any day of the week she is fiercely loyal and loving.
She writes about what is going on in her life. This could be what she is watching on TV, reading, dealing with, her cats, her thoughts, her likes, her dislikes, etc. It’s basically whatever thoughts cross her mind and stay longer than 2 seconds. Maybe she will make you think about something. Maybe you will help her see something differently. All in all this is a wonderful way to express thoughts and ideas.
Currently there are general life posts which are under “a day in the life” and there are also fiction posts which are under “fiction.” In the fiction section there is a story that is being written about a main character named Elizabeth. As the story unravels, it is posted under the fiction section. Since there is little time for creative writing, it’s not done as often as she would like but more like as often as she can.
She also has another blog at http://battlingthebulgeonabudget.wordpress.com/ for weight loss in case you are interested.
