How Hard Is It To Get Something Right?
You would think after months and months of going round and round about the same issue that AT&T would have their act together. I swear to God I am so ready to scream at these people that it’s not even funny. The last conversation I had with them was so frustrating that there was screaming, tears, and cursing. Tonight’s conversation was not so bad. I just yelled a little and thankfully had someone who understood that providing a customer with what you promised them originally is pretty important. And if you don’t, that customer might say SCREW IT and just cancel altogether. And that is exactly what I told them tonight. “Get it right or I am leaving. This is ridiculous.”
The guy I was talking to looked at all the notes in my account and was perplexed. He reviewed things and said I was charged $149 for a technician to come out and install the product. I said that was rather interesting considering I did a self-install. I told him this. He asked how I received the equipment and I told him that I was sent the equipment through UPS or FEDEX. He then knew that I had to have done a self-install.
Typically the tech people don’t mess with the financial end of your account, but because it was a tech-related charge, he could. He did have to speak with his supervisor because for anything over $50 they have to get permission. He also was able to see that I was charged the wrong amount monthly and adjust for that. I was initially told that I would be getting the service for $24.95 a month. I was charged $53 a month instead. So John was able to also change this. He couldn’t get the charge to $24.95 a month but could get it to $22/month. I told him that would work.
So basically now I have paid up my services for several months in advance. I really didn’t want to do that. I also have to check to make sure that it REALLY was taken care of. I have heard before that it was taken care of before and then gotten a bill for over $250. So let us hope that AT&T got it right. Otherwise, they’re going to hear a cursing, yelling, angry Amy like they have never heard. I have had enough of their crap.
