So I saw this recipe online and was so shocked that I had to blog about it. Now I love mayo. It’s wonderful! It’s so delicious on a turkey sandwich. But the recipe I found was to cook the turkey using mayo ON it? How wild is that? I was kinda blown away by that. I will admit that Michael Symon has opened up my mind, though, to cooking with mayo so I’m definitely open to it.
So when you cook your turkey, instead of putting oil or butter under the skin, you use Hellman’s mayo. I can see how it would be easy to squish around under there so you get it spread better. Then you put some on the outside, too. Bake that bad boy and yummy! I bet it is real juicy, too. Imagine melting mayo rolling around a turkey. Hmmm….I’m gonna have to try this soon.
